There has been lot of controversies on the subject of choosing life partner, people at times wonder if God can actually tell a man who to marry. I've heard several men of God make a statement that I found to be so true "If you want to know the truth about any subject, go back to check the first time it happened in the Bible" and that's what I want us to do today. The issue of locating one's life partner happened very clearly in Genesis 24 when the servant of Abraham was directed to choose a life partner for Isaac.
If we consider the scripture critically, we would discover that this servant actually had a picture of what he was looking for in mind and all God did was to direct him to where he got it.
One of his taste of woman was that "she must be hardworking" because the Bible recorded that the man said "the woman must show up at the time normal women do go out to fetch water",and you know some women would have been lazy to stay back at that period maybe still struggling to wake up from their sleep or just feel too lazy to go fetch watch at the normal time such is done.
Secondly the man desire "a very hospital woman" because he said, she must be kind enough to fetch him water to drink and also provide water for all his camels.
The point here is that God find it very hard to bless some people with future partner because they don't even know what they want for themselves.
Gone are the days that God will just give you a woman like he did to Adam, the reason is because GOD WANTS YOU TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHOICE so that when shits happens in your home, you won't say just like Adam that "Lord,the woman you gave me
caused me to fall".
In Genesis 24:15, I was made to understand that he saw all he needed in a woman in Rebekah, she came at the appropriate time and you really need to read about how hospitable and accommodating she was, she "SINGLE HANDEDLY" fetch water for the man and his camels, she even went as far as taking him to her father's house and while all this was happening, the man didn't need a prophet to tell him that "this is what you're looking for".
One thing I've discovered in life is that "WHEN YOU
SEE WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR, AUTOMATICALLY YOUR HEART WILL TESTIFY TO IT "
What the man experienced was that HE GOT WHAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR,
What are you looking for?
The role God played was to help him locate it. Don't get me wrong please, I'm not saying that there is nothing like destiny partners, what i am saying is that you should have a picture of what you want in mind so that when you see it you will be able to recognize it because
"YOU CANNOT HIT THE TARGET YOU'RE NOT SEEING.
Whatever you don't see, you can't possess.
FOR YOU TO GET IT, YOU'VE GOT TO SEE IT.

Get a sheet of paper, draft out every single detail of the kind of partner you want from God, pray about it and make deliberate actions to BECOME THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT TO ATTRACT.
Believe me, I have seen and read about many people that got their partner this way,and immediately they set their eyes on each other they both know that,"Mehn, this is what I've been looking for" and without wasting time, when you see what you've been looking for, just GO FOR IT because who you're looking for has also been looking for you.
If you're one of those that think it doesn't work this way or you've tried it and it didn't work, I want to boldly tell you that the reason why it has not work for you is because YOU'RE NOT YET QUALIFIED FOR WHAT YOU'RE ASKING FOR. WHY NOT CHECK WHAT'S IN THAT PAPER AND CHECK YOURSELF.
Dr Myles Munroe (may his great soul R.I.P) said something I will never forget in my entire life, he said and I quote"THE REASON WHY SOME OF YOU ARE NOT MARRIED YET IS BECAUSE GOD IS SAVING PEOPLE FROM YOU". God knows that you're like a bomb that is about to explode, you're nothing but a killer /disaster. You haven't developed yourself enough so God is saving people from entering your "Titanic boat that is about to sink".
In conclusion, after you have written down your desire, all you need to do is to:
- KEEP THAT BOOK YOU WROTE IN A SAFE PLACE
- STAND UP FROM YOUR SEAT
- DRESS UP
- GET OUT OF YOUR ROOM
- SHUT THE DOOR
- GET TO WORK and MAKE SURE YOU DON'T RETURN (relent, give up) until you "BECOME THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT TO ATTRACT"
Believe me if you will follow this laid down steps,few years to come when you stumble on what you've written down and turn to look at the person(partner) sleeping next to you on that matrimonial bed, you'll be shock to discover that WHAT YOU WROTE IS ACTUALLY WHAT YOU GOT. Think about it.
