If it's important to you, it will be EASY FOR YOU.

I remember few years ago as a freshman on campus... I was very close to this brilliant young lady (I'm always attracted to brilliant people, especially ladies, and they tend to enjoy my company.. Glory
to Jesus. #winks).

Back to business.

I was very close with this lady.. And it's obvious that's she's more intelligent academics wise, at least her result proves that, there was a particular night like that, I went for night class, and I saw this lady in class also, she was jacking big time, poor me was just pretending, sleep was written boldly on my face.

So, the next day in class, I walked up to her, we got talking and I changed the topic, I told her that I noticed she reads a lot, she's on distinction and all that, I told her that I really envy her results and I wish I could have same.

I was just very open to her that day, I went ahead to mention the fact that I'm beginning to think I've lost passion for academics, I just don't seem to find reading (school books) interesting again, I can read motivational /Christian books for hours but when it comes to school books, I'm always tired.

She was really shocked to hear that from me, Somehow she couldn't believe I was going through such stuff. The way she perceives me, my appearance and all, she thought I must be a scholar.

To cut the long story short, she started saying so many things to me, She advised me big time. She didn't judge me at all, she went ahead to say that it's obvious I'm an intelligent guy. Maybe I don't have A STRONG REASON TO BE HERE.. Maybe I don't have any reason why I would love to do well in academics. She said I'm not passionate about academics because I'm underrating the influence of academics in my life, She said, she doesn't like reading also, but she loves the results it gives her, so she has no choice but to read.

Of all she said, a sentence really got my attention and it became my driving force. She said, Michael, if it's important to you, it will surely be easy for you.. Gbam!!!

That statement got my attention... I went back to my hostel that day thinking real hard.. I thought about how my parent would feel if I return home with an excellent result. How my elder sister will be proud of me, how I'd have the confidence to advice my younger ones and use myself as a good example. How I'd have a winning edge in trying D.E to a university.... I really thought about so many things and that day, I got my passion back.

To God's glory, I finished that program with an upper credit while she finished with distinction.

Why am I sharing this story???

I have a feeling someone out there is losing his or her passion (not necessarily in academics). I have a feeling you're no more motivated like you used to be, I won't do tautology here, I just want you to try read up. Read those words I said she told me back then.

Try to get back YOUR STRONG REASON.
Ask yourself few questions...
  • Why did you start in the first place?
  • If you finish well, how will it make you feel?

Ask yourself some sincere questions.

I end with this.. ANYTHING at all is achievable. No dream is too big, you can be financially buoyant.. You can finish with a first class. You can live a life of Holiness and integrity, You can get that visa to your dream school or country. You can get that babe or bobo. Just name it, Its achievable, Sincerely when there's a will, there's a way,  If it's important to you, it will surely be easy for you.

Anyways, I say thanks for helping me get my passion back. God bless you.

I hope this ministers to someone?
