A very interesting story was recorded in 1 Samuel 9 and10. Saul's father lost his donkey, so Saul was sent out with some of his father's servant to look for the lost donkey. They searched everywhere, but couldn't find it, as they were about heading home, the servant suggested that they reached out to a prophet for consultation, and Saul consented.
The Prophet made a statement that got my attention, he made Saul understand that the major reason God sent him out of his father's house wasn't because of the donkey (because that has already been found), the donkey was just a bait for kingdom assignment. He began to tell Saul matters of the Kingdom, which led Saul to be anointed and he also met companies of Prophet. All of these happened because of a bait of the missing donkey.
Now, the main message here is the fact that when Saul got back to his father's house, he was DISCERNING ENOUGH not to give his Uncle UNNECESSARY GIST!
I Samuel 10: 14 Saul's uncle asked Saul and his servant, "Where have you been?"
Saul said, "We were looking for the donkeys. When we couldn't find them, we went to see Samuel."
15 Saul's uncle said, "Please tell me, what did Samuel say to you?"
16 Saul answered, "Samuel told us the donkeys were already found." HE DID NOT TELL HIS UNCLE EVERYTHING. Saul did not tell him what Samuel said about the kingdom. Another translation says, SAUL DIDN'T SHARE THE MATTERS OF THE KINGDOM!
Many of us reveal TOO MUCH, TOO SOON!
We need to be sensitive enough not to tell the wrong people the workings of God in our life, especially when God is yet to perfect what He's doing.
You can be a public figure with a private life. You can share so much, yet not too much. 😁 Its a skill in God that we must perfect.
It's so serious that some people don't necessarily need to know that you just got a new job, you have relocated, you were in a meeting with a great man of God and all that.
Don't be too focused on taking pictures with men to pepper social media, instead of capturing the depth of their vision.
Discern relationships, know people and where they are in your life. The only details I owe some people is "I am doing great, God has been very FAITHFUL "🙌😁, and there are others that should know HOW God has been FAITHFUL, and WHAT I am doing EXACTLY!
Sharing too soon could destroy what God is doing . Trust me, this is beyond superstition and village people.
Don't be a baby about your details, especially kingdom matters. Allow the revelations reveal themselves as RESULTS from your life. Don't be under pressure to impress your peers.
Our Journey is DIFFERENT!
